Welcome to the recreational opportunities of the Northern Neck. Being that the Northern Neck is surrounded by water on three side, our recreation tends to be water focused. You are not going to find much opportunity for snow skiing here, but if you want to fish, boat, swim, canoe, kayak, etc. the Northern Neck is your oyster...so to speak. We are loaded with history. In fact the main road down the spine of the Neck is called Historyland Highway due to the number of Presidents and other important people born and raised in the land between the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers -- George Washington, James Monroe, Woodrow Wilson just to drop a few names; and famous families such as the Lees of Virginia - Robert E. Lee
